I can buy PD15 Ultimate for $75, or upgrade for $59? I'm no mathamtician but that's NOT 75%! I get irritated by the constant nagging to upgrade, with "75% off" - but the math doesn't seem to bear that out?.Actually FEWER output options than PD11?.It was always dark and now an even darker theme? Funky but just causes eye strain when you then move to a normal bright screen, or watch a video.Writing and icons now smaller, as though my 23" monitor is bigger? Nope, it's still 23" and I don't want to squint, thanks.I won't be upgrading PD though, not for 15 anyway: Other software can remove bits but it's annoying as heck to have to select some cutting/slicing/razor/scissors or whatnot, then cut, then cut the next bit, then tell it to remove the "clip" in the middle, then manually line the remaining bits back up again (only to find you didn't quite cut the right place and have to do the whole operation again.) I've never come across anything as easy and simple as PD's method of grabbing the edge of the marker, pulling it over the bit you want gone and then just clicking "Remove". My PD11 is working again and I'll stick with that for most things I think, as 90% of the editing I do is simply removing the boring bits of vids. I'll also say that on the other paid software, to get the same file size, resolution and bitrate as the vids I want to edit, I found choosing "iPhone" while selecting output options did the trick, a trick which PD doesn't have. Like working underwater, as you move around on the timeline and then have to wait a bit for it to catch up! Urgh. I will say I tried the free and open source "Openshot" and while it works its very slow, taxing my machine too much. Not really faiir on Cyberlinke to advertise a different product on their own forum. The only other thing I can suggest is, try using Revo Uninstaler, it should do a better cleaning job. ![]() Quote You can try this at your own risk: If you have Win10 - hit the windows key and select settings - go to "apps" There you should see a list of apps, find the Cyberlink PD 15 icon and double click. In earlier attempts it gave the option to send a crash report to Cyberlink, which I did, twice. ![]() "Powerdirector 11 has stopped responding". I just tried again, could open the program, select a video file to open. That worked, at first, but upon opening it does the same thing. In the end I had to manually delete the PD11 folder, and then reinstall. So PD11 would not run and would not uninstall after trying the demo of PD15. I tried uninstalling PD11 it to reinstall but it would not uninstall correctly. However doing that has stopped my PD11 from working. ![]() Upon using it I could see it has FEWER output options than PD11, so I went to control panel, Programs and Features, and then made sure to uninstall PD15, and NOT PD11. To see if PD15 had more option s I downloaded the demo, and installed it in a separate directory from PD11. I don't have Windows 10, I'm using Windows 7.
